•Agro Test & Research Centre at Boranada established by Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO), through funding as Grant from Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), New Delhi and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), New Delhi. •Established for testing Agro/Food Products/ Handicrafts/ Textile and Guar Gum & its products in the Jodhpur region. •Agro Test Centers (ATCs) at Kota, Sriganganagar and Alwar are testing laboratories well equipped to test all Agro/Food produce, established by CSIO through funding as Grant from MOFPI. •All four are registered under Rajasthan Society Act, Govt. of Rajasthan. •All four are presently being run by CSIO. •All four are going to be accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). Aim & Objective of the above laboratories: •To provide testing facilities for agro raw materials produced in the region and adjoining areas. •To provide testing facilities for agro/food products produced by various industries located in these Agro Food Parks and adjoining regions. •To provide testing facilities to Guar Gum Exporters of Rajasthan. •The centres will help the local industries to market their produce by ascertaining the parameters as per requirement of national/international standards. •The centres will act as a catalyst in implementing Food Safety & Quality Initiative Programme launched by Ministry of Food Processing & Industries (MOFPI), Govt. of India. •To impart training to entrepreneurs with regard to operation of Agro Test Centers with an emphasis on Standardization of Test Procedures, Maintenance and Calibration of Test Instruments, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) aspects, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, etc. in association with other laboratories of CSIR working in the field. •To create awareness with regard to grading, standardization and quality of various agricultural and food products through organizing seminars, workshops, etc. at local level.
