The Sony Group of Companies is a Fourth Generation Family Run Business, which manufactures and exports quality coir and other natural fiber products. Coir Floor Furnishing Co. started in the Year 1921 by Late Mr. L.S. Das (Kalyani Pillai). Followed by his son Late Mr. K.S. Rajan Janardhanan who developed the Business. Mr.Sony J Kalyan Kumar joined the Family Business in 1975 and heads the Company at present. Following the Family Tradition, his son Mr. Khanna Kalyan Kumar has joined the Company in 2009. Coirtex - India was started in the Year 1981 to diversify further in the Automobile Floor Mats Industry which set the wheels rolling in the International Trade for Coir Handicrafts and Allied Products. Both the Companies are Government Certified Export Houses and have its own reputation for Unique, Distinctive and Innovative Products made from Coir, Jute, Sisal, Grass, Cotton and Palmyra and has earned several awards for Outstanding Export Performance.
