Tinosphora cordifolia root, stem, leaves and sattva (starch) of guduci are used for medicinal purpose, externally; the medicated oil of the plant is effectively used to reduce the pain and oedema, in gout and skin diseases. In filariasis, the paste of Tinosphora cordifolia (guduci), karuka, sunthi, devadara and vidanga works well when applied externally. Internally, Tinosphora cordifolia (guduci) is one of the most effective rasayanas- rejuvenatives.

























It works well as a mucolytic in such conditions. Terminalia belerica powder is beneficial in wound dressing to arrest the bleeding, if any. The medicated hair oil of Terminalia belerica (bibhitaka) fruit and kernel alleviates the pain, burning sensation and boosts the hair growth and imparts black colour to them. Bay Leaf















Bay Leaf or Laurel Leaf are dried leaves or an evergreen shrub or more rarely a tree attaining a height of 15 to 20 mtrs. The upper surface of the leaf is glabrous and shiny, olive green, and lower surface is dull olive to brown with a prominent rib and veins. The aroma of the crushed leaves is delicate & fragrant and taste is aromatic and bitter. The size of the leaves is ranging from 2.5 to 7.5 cms in length and 1.6 to 2.5 cms in breadth.
























Bay leaves are used as flavouring in soups, stews, meat, fish, sauces and in confectionaries. Both leaves and fruits possess aromatic, stimulant and narcotic properties. Aniseed






















Aniseed is an annual plant with an average height of 30 to 50 cm. The plant is completely covered with fine hairs. Aniseed is ground-grey to greyish brown in colour, 3 to 5mm in length, oval in shape with short stalk attached. Five longitudinal ridges are visible on each pericarp. Vittae (oil ducts) are almost always present embedded in the fruit wall beneath the ridges.

























It is used mainly as a flavourant, culinary, household, cosmetic and medicinal. The fruit of anis, commercially called aniseed is widely used for flavouring curries, bread, soups, baked goods, dried figs, deserts, cream cheese, pickles, egg dishes, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. The essential oil is valuable in perfumery. The oil is used for production of anethole and sometimes as sensitizer for bleaching colours in photography.
