ISO / TS 16949: 2002 Certification
The ISO/TS 16949:2002 standard is the consensus of international quality requirements, which consists of policies and procedures that ensures worldwide consistence with the suppliers of parts, materials, or finishing services.

Automotive manufacturers assure quality by requiring registration to automotive quality standards that provide quality assurance. ISO/TS 16949:2002 is the latest automotive quality standard which was developed to be a new universally accepted quality standard for automobile suppliers. The ISO/TS 16949:2002 standard was developed to be an automotive standard for the customers of automotive manufacturers and it is aligned with the ISO-9001: 2002 standard. The purpose of ISO/TS 16949:2002 was to create standardization in the quality management standards for automobile suppliers throughout the world. ISO/TS 16949:2002 is a process approach quality standard, which places requirements that assure consistent quality, throughout organizations that supply automobile manufacturers. By requiring ISO/TS 16949:2002 certifications, automobile manufacturers can be assured that all of their suppliers are adhering to a consistent set of quality standards that are strict and intertwined throughout the suppliers organization.

OHSAS 18001: 2007 Certification
The Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) specification 18001 and the accompanying guideline OHSAS 18002 have been developed in response to urgent customer demand for a recognizable occupational health and safety management system standard against which their management systems can be assessed and certified.

OHSAS 18001 is also compatible with the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system and ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system standards, in order to facilitate the integration of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems by organization, if they wish to do so.

The specification takes a structured approach to OH&S management. The emphasis is placed on practices being pro-active and preventive by the identification of hazards and the evaluation and control of work related risks. OHSAS 18001 can be used by organization of all sizes regardless of the nature of their activities or location. Organizations can now achieve third party certification for their Occupational Health and Safety management system.

ISO 22000 : 2005 / HACCP Certification
This International Standard ISO 22000 specifies requirements for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.

It is applicable to all organizations, regardless of size, which are involved in any aspect of the food chain and want to implement systems that consistently provide safe products. The means of meeting any requirements of this International Standard can be accomplished through the use of internal and/or external resources.

This International Standard ISO 22000 specifies requirements to enable an organization :

• To plan, implement, operate, maintain and update a food safety management system aimed at providing products that, according to their intended use, are safe for the consumer
• To demonstrate compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory food safety requirements
• To evaluate and assess customer requirements and demonstrate conformity with those mutually agreed customer requirements that relate to food safety, in order to enhance customer satisfaction
• To effectively communicate food safety issues to their suppliers, customers and relevant interested parties in the food chain
• To ensure that the organization conforms to its stated food safety policy
• To demonstrate such conformity to relevant interested parties
• To seek certification or registration of its food safety management system by an external organization, or make a self-assessment or self-declaration of conformity to this International Standard.

ISO 27000: 2005 Certification
An Information Security Management System (ISMS) provides a systematic approach to managing sensitive information in order to protect it. It encompasses employees, processes and information systems.

The world renowned British Standard for Information Security Management Systems, BS 7799-2:2002, has been updated and was released on the 15 October 2005 as an international standard, ISO/IEC 27001:2005.

ISO 27001 defines comprehensive requirements for ISMS that deals with all the technical and Human aspects in information security in all its operational processes. Companies can be independently audited to ISO 27001and achieve registration to show their customers, partners and regulatory bodies that their processes are secured in handling information. SO 27001 refer to ISO 17799 for implementation guidance and include an abstract of ISO 17799 as an appendix showing auditors the kinds of control to expect.

The goal of ISO 27001 is to provide a common base for developing organizational security standards and effective security management practice and to provide confidence in inter-organizational dealings.

SA 8000 Certification
SA 8000, or "Social Accountability 8000", was developed to promote socially responsible business in all sectors around the globe. Rather than being a "sweatshop code" for customers to enforce upon their suppliers, SA8000 was developed to help socially responsible companies to measure and differentiate themselves from other companies operating with less than acceptable labor conditions. It sets out expectations regarding health and safety, child labor, forced labor, freedom of association, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours and compensation together with the management systems to deliver them. SA8000 covers all the major labor rights issues contained in International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights.

CE Marking
What does CE marking mean? What do the initials CE stand for?
CE markingis a declaration by the manufacturer that the product meets all the appropriate provisions of the relevant legislation implementing certain "European Directives". "CE marking" gives companies easier access into the European market to sell their products without adaptation or rechecking. The initials "CE" do not stand for any specific words but are a declaration by the manufacturer that his product meets the requirements of the applicable European Directives.

The actual CE Marking is the letters "CE" which a manufacturer affixes to certain products for access to the European market (consisting of 18 countries and also referred to as the European Economic Area or EEA). The letters "CE' are an abbreviation of a French phrase "Conformity European". The marking indicates that the manufacturer has conformed with all the obligations required by the legislation. Initially, the phrase was "CE Mark": however, "CE Marking" was legislated as its replacement in 1993.

"Manufacturers are responsible for ensuring that the products they place on the market meet all relevant regulations. Where these regulations do not require mandatory certification, manufacturers often seek voluntary certification to assure themselves that their products do meet the requirements set by law."

Please Note

• The CE Marking is not a quality-mark. First, it refers to the safety rather than to the quality of a product. Second, CE marking is mandatory for the product it applies to whereas most quality marking are voluntary.
• Many people use the term CE Mark. Initially, this was the phrase used to indicate this conformity marking. However, CE mark was officially replaced by the term CE Marking in 1993. Thus, it is better to speak of CE Marking.
