Public Address System: (PA system) is an electronic sound amplification and distribution system with a microphone, amplifier and loudspeakers, used to allow a person to address a large public, for example for announcements of movements at large and noisy air and rail terminals or at a sports stadium.

Overview: A “fire alarm system” is number of devices working together to detect and warn people through visual and audio appliances when smoke, fire, carbon monoxide or other emergencies are present. These alarms may be activated from smoke detectors, and heat detectors. They may also be activated via manual fire alarm activation devices such as manual call points or pull stations.   Their main function is to quickly identify a developing fire and alert building occupants and emergency response personnel before extensive damage occurs. Automatic fire detection systems do this by using electronic sensors to detect the smoke, heat, or flames from a fire and providing an early warning.   Fire Alarm Systems (FAS): Addressable Fire Alarm Systems (AFAS) Conventional Fire Alarm Systems (CFAS)   Addressable Fire Alarm System:   Every device connected to the addressable system has its own unique address. When a fire is detected, the device’s address shows up on the main control panel, telling you exactly which device has been activated. This will enable you to find the exact location of a fire and extinguish them quickly.    Conventional Fire Alarm System:  With a conventional system, there is no way of pinpointing the exact location of the fire. However, by wiring your building into different zones, you can get a general idea of where the fire is. For instance, if you have two floors, you could wire the first as ‘zone 1’ and the second as zone 2. So if a fire occurs in zone 1, you know that the fire is somewhere on the first floor.

Fire hydrant pump systems (also known as fire pumps, hydrant boosters, fire water pumps) are high pressure water pumps designed to increase the fire fighting capacity of a building by boosting the pressure in the hydrant service when mains is not enough, or when tank fed.   Pipe work from  the fire water pump set.   The hydrant pipe work is remaining pressurized through the proposed jockey pump taking  care of any leakages in the system pipe lines, valves and fittings.   The hydrant system is kept charged by pressurized water at approx. 7 Kg. Cm. Sq. at all  times.  In the event of fire when any of the hydrant valves in the net work is opened, the resultant fall in pressure system is enabling starting the AC MOTOR driven fire water pumping set through pressure switches automatically. One diesel engine pump shall be standby pump serving hydrant system.     Apart from the automatic starting of the pump sets, provision shall be kept for manual starting also. Shutting down of the pump sets shall be manual

A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection measure, consisting of a water supply system, providing adequate pressure and flow-rate to a water distribution piping system, onto which fire sprinklers are connected.    Although historically only used in factories and large commercial buildings, systems for homes and small buildings are now available at a cost-effective price.    Fire sprinkler systems are extensively used worldwide, with over 50 million sprinkler heads fitted each year. In buildings completely protected by fire sprinkler systems, over 99% of fires were controlled by fire sprinklers alone.

CCTV (closed-circuit television) is a TV system in which signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored, primarily for surveillance and security purposes. CCTV relies on strategic placement of cameras, and observation of the camera's input on monitors somewhere. Because the cameras communicate with monitors and/or video recorders across private coaxial cable runs or wireless communication links, they gain the designation "closed-circuit" to indicate that access to their content is limited by design only to those able to see it.    CCTV is commonly used for a variety of purposes, including:    - Maintaining perimeter security in medium-to high-secure areas and installations.    - Observing behavior of incarcerated inmates and potentially dangerous patients in medical facilities.    - Overseeing locations that would be hazardous to a human, for example, highly radioactive or toxic industrial environments. Building and grounds security.    - Obtaining a visual record of activities in situations where it is necessary to maintain proper security or access controls (for example, in a diamond cutting or sorting operation; in banks, casinos, or airports).
