Sat Pal Khattar (NRI from Singapore) & has set up frozen fruits & vegetables project in Punjab State in an area of 6 Acres on the main National Highway 240 Km North of New Delhi. Sh. N.S.BRAR Managing Director PFL is B.Sc Engg. and MBA & has over 36 years experience in project planning & Operation of projects in the Agro/Food processing sector. Sh. Pawan Inder Singh has over 20 year of experience in contract farming especially related to cultivation of vegetables. PFL’s production facilities were commissioned in January, 2002 with a capacity to produce 5000MT of frozen vegetables per annum. The production capacity was doubled in the year 2006-07 PFL has invested around Rs. 30 Crores (US$ 6 million) on its production facilities with a capacity to produce around 10,000MT of frozen vegetables/ annuam with frozen cold storage capacity of 5000MT. The Plant facilities include state of art technology for production of frozen vegetables meeting international standards & specifications with 2 No.’s IQF plants from Frigoscandia, Sweden, Vegetable Dicers from Urschel USA, Slicer from FAM Belgum, Peeler from EIMA, Germany & Vegetable processing line from FMC, PUNE & Jwala Engg. Mumbai. The entire buildings of process hall, raw material store, packing hall & frozen cold stores are made of PUFF Insulated Pannels from WALCO Engg. & Refrigeration Eqpt. of Vilter Germany & Mycom Japan. PFL has achieved consistent growth of around 25-30% in Production and sales turnover in its 8 years of operations. The Company’s frozen products have been very well received both in the domestic as well as export markets. PFL is one of the major suppliers of frozen vegetables to the leading food processing industry in the country Viz Vista Foods Ltd. Mumbai (McDonald Group Company), AL-Kabeer exports Pvt. Ltd., Innovative Foods Ltd. (Tata Group Company), Godrej Tyson Foods Ltd. S.R.Foods, Banglore, Western Farm Fresh, Chennai and to leading Retail outlets viz: Reliance Fresh, Aditya Birla Retails, Spencer’s & Bharti Wal-Mart etc, Besides a vast network of distributors in all most all major cities in India.
