Salient feature of the project are as follows: • pos shall provide baby plants and organic fertilizer and organic medicines/pesticides • assured returns through buy back agreement between farmers and pos • pos has set a goal of 200 acres of aloevera cultivation in the first phase (april 2013-december 2014) • in next 5 years, ultimate goal is to expand this production to 5000 acres • majority of prospects (partnering farmers) shall be selected from the tribal belt of vadodara district • providing them with all the inputs and expertise necessary for the production of organic aloevera • larger network of pos partners with farmers, ngos, government agencies and corporate
