Magnesium Chloride (IP) is the name for the chemical compounds with the formulas MgCl2 and its various hydrates MgCl2 (H2O)x. These salts are typical ionic halides, being highly hygroscopic and soluble in water. We offer the pharmaceutical grade in crystalline form corresponding IP and also complying with BP, USP Ph. Eur. Our usual products are sold as hexahydrate.
Due to the high purity, it is a very suitable raw material for several antacids such as magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia), magnesium oxide and magnesium silicate. It is also used for infusion and dialysis solutions, liquid pharmaceuticals, veterinary preparations and dermal cosmetics, the pharmaceutical quality.
It is an important coagulant used in the preparation of tofu from soy milk. The pharmaceutical grade is recommended for use in baby foods & nutritional supplements.
It is used in the production of fat hardening catalysts (edible fats), preparation and analytical chemistry (ACS)
