Printed sarees does not contains any hand held work.Printed work is complete color pasting work on the cloth to give it multiple coloring looks.Printed sarees are died using textile printing method in which colors to fabrics are applied in definite patterns or designs.Colors are bonded with fabrics in such manner that it can resist washing and friction.
In textile printing the fabrics are died in such manner that it can uniformly cover the whole fabrics.One or more colors can be applied to the same fabrics to designing sarees with multiple designing feature. Sarees are printed using various instruments like wooden blocks,stencile, engraved plates,rollers and silkscreens are used to place colors on the fabrics.Colorants used in printing contains dyes thickened to prevent the color from spreading by capillary attraction beyond the limits of the patterns or designs.
