We boil the root of the Curcuma Longa for 30-45 minutes in a pot filled with fresh water. The boiling procedure is known as curing. The process will make the root softer so we can grind it easily. It will enhance its color and flavor as well. After boiling we need to peel the outer layer of the root and then dry for a week without using direct sunlight so that there should not be any moisture content on the root. Using a hammer, break the dried roots in to multiple pieces and grind it in a grinder. Filter the grinded powder to remove the root chunks and store it in a jar having air tight lid.
