Sampurn agri ventures pvt. Ltd. (savpl), a subsidiary of nasa agro, was formed with the sole purpose of tackling the two main environmental damages taking place in south west punjab- waterlogging and paddy straw burning. Kirloskar integrated technologies has joined savpl as shareholders and technology partners to set up a paddy straw based bio-gas power plant. What the company does savpl purchases the paddy straw that farmers otherwise would have burnt, and uses it to create bio-gas for the purpose of generating power. The residue of the paddy straw from the bio-gas plant comes out in the form of a manure. This manure will then be converted into phospho compost and sold to the respective customers. Sampurn agri ventures envisions itself to become a nationwide seller and supplier of paddy straw compost and paddy straw based phosphocompost to fertilizer manufacturers, and directly to farmers as well. Savpl also aims to become a contract manufacturer for some of the established fertiliser brands in the market. savpl is a supplier of organic paddy straw based compost. It supplies the compost with and without organic rock phosphate. The customer base of savpl varies from fertiliser manufacturers, to fertiliser distributors, to direct consumers, i.e. Farmers. It has the facilities and necessary licenses to become the contract manufacturer of fertilisers for any company looking with such a requirement. Savpl believes in being straightforward in all of its dealings and giving back to the society in every step of the way. Business goals & objectives savpl aims to make its compost available to bulk consumer across the country. The company is open to all sorts of working relationships- from being a supplier of compost in the form of raw material, to becoming a contract manufacturer and supplying straight to the market, the end product. Business strategy the company is focusing more on the horizontal integration, as it is looking to become a supplier of the compost to other fertiliser manufacturing units. It is also developing vertical chain of distributors and dealers to make the compost directly available to the farmers.
