Metal Castings #4092377

S G Iron Castings

Manufacturer & Exporter of S G Iron Castings.

S G Ironis also known asSpheroidal Graphite Iron, Ductile Cast Iron, Nodular Cast Iron, Spherulitic Graphite Cast Iron. S G Ironis a type of cast iron that has been treated while molten with an element such as magnesium or cerium to induce the formation of free graphite as nodules or spherulites. This imparts a measurable degree of ductility (easily manipulated) to the cast metal. The ductile iron family offers the design engineer a unique combination of strength, wear resistance, fatigue resistance, and toughness, as well as excellent ductility characteristics.

S G Iron/Ductile ironis not a single material but is part of a group of materials which can be produced to have a wide range of properties through control of the microstructure. The common defining characteristic of this group of materials is the shape of the graphite. In ductile irons, the graphite is in the form ofnodulesrather thanflakesas it is in grey iron. The sharp shape of the flakes of graphite create stress concentration points within the metal matrix and the rounded shape of the nodules less so, thus inhibiting the creation of cracks and providing the enhanced ductility that gives the alloy its name.

This nodular graphite structure inhibits the creation of linear cracks hence the ability to withstand distortion.

Composition :
A typical chemical analysis of this material:

  • Carbon 3.2 to 3.6%
  • Silicon 2.2 to 2.8%
  • Manganese 0.1 to 0.5%
  • Magnesium 0.03 to 0.05%
  • Phosphorus 0.005 to 0.04%
  • Sulfur 0.005 to 0.02%
  • Copper 0.40%
  • Iron balance

Applications :
Ductile iron is specifically useful in many automotive components, where strength needs surpass that of aluminum but do not necessarily require steel. Other major industrial applications include off-highway diesel trucks, Class 8 trucks, agricultural tractors, and oil well pumps, etc.

S G Iron / Ductile Iron Chemical Components
Ductile iron is also called as nodular iron or SG iron. Its chemical components did not have strict range for many material standards, however, its range should be useful for buyers to evaluate the quality of cast iron.

Therefore, we filled some normal standards to show the reasonable range to ductile iron. Please remember the chemical components are only a reference, not a strict standard to the material. The foundry could adjust its chemical components according to their experience in order to meet the physical properties. So, physical properties should be the only standard to materials.

Stainless Steel Castings

We are offering our clients, Stainless Steel Castings. These are widely appreciated by our clients for their strength, durability and corrosion resistance. We can provide these in customized sizes and specifications in accordance with the requirements of our esteemed clients.

A casting made from stainless steel. Stainless steel is a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5 or 11% chromium content by mass. Stainless steel does not stain, corrode, or rust as easily as ordinary steel (it stains less, but it is not stain-proof). There are different grades and surface finishes of stainless steel to suit the environment to which the material will be subjected in its lifetime.

Manufacturing Capacity :From 5 kgs. to 1 Ton Single PC.

Specifications -

    • IS -304
    • IS -316

  • All Grades better Corrosion, wear and heat resisting

Stainless Steel - Grade 304 (UNS S30400)
Grade 304L, the low carbon version of 304, does not require post-weld annealing and so is extensively used in heavy gauge components (over about 6mm). Grade 304H with its higher carbon content finds application at elevated temperatures. The austenitic structure also gives these grades excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.

Grade 304 is the standard "18/8" stainless; it is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel, available in a wider range of products, forms and finishes than any other. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics. The balanced austenitic structure of Grade 304 enables it to be severely deep drawn without intermediate annealing, which has made this grade dominant in the manufacture of drawn stainless parts such as sinks, hollow-ware and saucepans. For these applications it is common to use special "304DDQ" (Deep Drawing Quality) variants. Grade 304 is readily brake or roll formed into a variety of components for applications in the industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. Grade 304 also has outstanding welding characteristics. Post-weld annealing is not required when welding thin sections.

Key Properties
These properties are specified for flat rolled product (plate, sheet and coil) in ASTM A240/A240M. Similar but not necessarily identical properties are specified for other products such as pipe and bar in their respective specifications.

Ni Hard Castings

We offer our client an excellent quality range ofNi-Hard Castings, which are manufactured from high grade quality raw materials. TheseNiI-Hard Castingscan be customized as per our valued customers specifications. TheseNi-Hard Castingsare widely known for its durability and quality. We manufacture all types ofNi-Hard Casting Grade 1, 2 & 4.

Ni-Hardis the generic name for a family of white cast irons alloyed with nickel and chromium to give high hardness and outstanding resistance to abrasion.

Ni-Hardis an extremely wear resistant material and in cast form is ideal for use with abrasive products, giving a much more extended life when compared with cast iron or mild steel when incorporated in pneumatic conveying systems.

Nickel content increases with section size or cooling time of the casting to inhibit pearlitic transformation. For castings of 38 mm to 50 mm thick, 3.4% to 4.2% Ni is sufficient to suppress pearlite formation upon mold cooling. Heavier sections may require nickel levels up to 5.5% to avoid the formation of pearlite. It is important to limit nickel content to the level needed for control of pearlite; excess nickel increases the amount of retained austenite and lowers hardness.

There are two distinct groups of Ni-Hard compositions:
The medium alloyed Ni-Hard 1 and Ni-Hard 2.
Ni-Hard 4.

These alloys are standardized in almost all industrialized nations under various designations.

Phosphor Bronze Casting

We are ranked amidst the trustworthy organizations that are involved in offering qualitativePhosphor Bronze Castings. Our professionals are highly talented and well-trained in modern technology that helps us to manufacture all the products as per the demands and needs of customers. We use supreme-grade quality bronze, phosphorous, sand & various other alloys as well as non-ferrous alloys such as Tin, Leaded Gun Metal & lead for making these casting so as to cater to the demands of various industries. OurPhosphorous Bronze Castingsare acclaimed by customers for their dimensional accuracy, sturdy construction and zero maintenance.

Phosphor Bronze(sometimes sold with the shorter namePhos Bronze or P B Casting) is an alloy of copper with 3.5 to 10% of tin and a significant phosphorus content of up to 1%. The phosphorus is added as deoxidizing agent during melting. These alloys are notable for their toughness, strength, low coefficient of friction, and fine grain. The phosphorus also improves the fluidity of the molten metal and thereby improves the castability, and improves mechanical properties by cleaning up the grain boundaries.

Applications:
Phosphor Bronze(94.8% copper, 5% tin, 0.2% phosphorus) is also used in cryogenics. In this case its combination of fair electrical conductivity, and low thermal conductivity allows the making of electrical connections to devices at ultra low temperatures without adding excessive heat.

Phosphor bronzeis used for springs, bolts and various other items used in situations where resistance to fatigue, wear and chemical corrosion are required (e.g., a ship's propellers in a marine environment). The alloy is also used in some dental bridges.

The names describe variations in formability caused by cold rolling. Tests have shown that the newC66300alloy is more formable, even in bad way orientations, than veteran alloysC51000, C51100andC52100.
