(YMPL) is an independent laboratory incorporated under Companies Act 1956, in July 2003, providing accredited services in Electro-technical calibration and Electrical testing with specialization for Static Electricity Meters. Erstwhile it was known as Yadav Metrology lab since 1996. YMPL maintains state of the art calibration and testing equipment which are operated by qualified, trained and experienced staff. Our extensive use of information technology enables us to give an efficient and cost effective service, while maintaining the highest standards of measurement and testing. YMPL offers to its customers the benefits of fast turn around time, traceable and trust worthy certificates and competitive prices for its services. The laboratory facilities are equipped with latest test and calibration equipments and managed by trained and qualified staff in accordance with ISO 17025. The Laboratory has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) India on 30/9/1996 for Electro-technical calibration and on 15/9/2001 for Electrical Testing, and United Kingdom accreditation Services, (UKAS), UK on 29/4/1999 for Electro-technical Calibration and 10/4/2003 for Electrical Testing. Our extensive accreditation encompasses specialization in ac power/energy and all the basic parameters of voltage and current in AC & DC, resistance and frequency. We can calibrate various reference standards used in field or laboratory for calibration and testing of energy meters with Best Measurement Capability (BMC) of 0.01 %. YMPL also one stop independent NABL and UKAS accredited and BIS recognized testing laboratory for type testing of static energy meters as per IS13779, IS14697, IEC61036, IEC60687, IEC61268, IEC62052-11, IEC62052-21, 22, 23, AS1284.5, AS1284.9, NSC M6 (Australian requirements), CBIP Report-88. YMPL has test facilities for EMI/EMC tests, environmental tests, mechanical tests like Vibration and shock, electrical tests. We are also accredited to various type tests for instrument transformers like CT/PT, as per IS 2705 and IS 3156, Electrical Measuring Transducers as per IEC 60688/IS 12784, medical instruments as per IEC 60601-1-2. The lab is providing developmental testing and certification services to meter manufacturers, BIS and utilities. YMPL is also third party testing and calibration laboratory recognized by various state Electricity regulatory commissions like GERC, HPERC and RERC. YMPL, Udaipur has developed a unique solution for on site and in-situ Calibration of high voltage Instrument Transformers and measuring instruments in substations, a Mobile Laboratory (MobiLAB). YMPL provides NABL accredited on-site calibration services of calibration of instrument transformers in HV substations using its Mobile laboratory, MobiLab for instrument transformers upto 132 kV. All measurements made by MobiLAB conform to Indian and IEC specifications and are traceable to National Standards maintained by NPL, India. YMPL also provides services for on site testing of 11kV Consumer Energy Metering system (CT/PT and energy meters) using portable test equipments and bulk consumer meter testing. Core team of YMPL has rich experience in design and application of Electricity meters and systems and managing an accredited laboratory for more than a decade. YMPL is also actively engaged in Training and Education and consultancy activity. YMPL conducts training for Utility engineers on Energy Metering technologies, systems, and advanced applications, Electricity Revenue Protection and NABL accreditation of Utilities Meter Test laboratories under the banner of Electricity Metering School. These courses are conducted under the DRUM program of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and USAID. YMPL conducts 12 weeks courses in a year and has trained more than 3500 utility engineers so far. YMPL provides consultancy to utilities for accreditation of Meter Test laboratories. The scope of consultancy is to train the management and staff in understanding and preparing and deploying full quality system for meeting various technical requirements of NABL accreditation. YMPL has provided such consultancy to many labs to obtain their accreditation.
