One of the benefits of GRP natural lighting is that in the event of fire, the roofing burns without dropping flaming particles into the structure which causes re ignition. At the same time, fumes and smoke are ventilated and the roofing web remains draped between the purling swallowing, only harmless particles fall back into the building. In instances where safer egress is required in the event of fire, the additional fire resin systems can be included to slow the spread of flame, reduce the amount of smoke and alter the flammability point of the roofing product IDELITE FR addresses these requirements. IDELITE – FR is a glass reinforced polyester fire retardant sheeting that has been specifically formulated using fire retardant materials for use in commercial building application and educational institutions to slow spread of flames and to reduce the level of smoke. IDELITE – FR allows the transmittance of natural light into the interior of the structure while providing fire retardance at minimal additional cost. IDELITE – FR can be specified for any industrial and commercial building that requires compliance to provide safer egress from a building in the event of fire WEIGHT: Sheets are sold by weight - kilograms per square meter, rather than thickness. As the sheets are made heavier (thicker) they become stronger. The most popular range of weight (Grade) is 1730 gm2, 2100gm2, 2440 gm2 & 3500 gm2. Other grades are also available upon request. COLOR: IDELITE – FR is available in standard colors of Clear, White Tint, Opale, Blue and Blue green. Other colors are also available on request to suit specific design application. SPECIFICATION: IDELITE – FR meets with the requirement of ASTM D3841 (Standard specification for glass fibre – reinforced polyester plastic panels) and BS 41 54 part 1.
