Fendercare Marine is one of the worlds leading designers and manufacturers of floating foam fenders.

The use of memory foams for the fender core, which have high compressive strengths, results in an ability to absorb a great deal of energy during marine operations. This is complemented by low reaction forces, making berthing operations easier especially in difficult conditions.

Users also gain peace of mind from knowing that the closed cell structure of the foams used means that these fenders are virtually unsinkable and will keep functioning even if damaged beyond viable repair.

Although fitted as standard with highly durable nylon reinforcement to the outer skin, we are now uniquely able to offer Kevlar reinforcement systems to those customers seeking the highest possible level of protection from in-service damage and therefore, the best possible return on their investment.

Fendercare Marine developed the naval lightweight grey fender in co-operation with The Yokohama Rubber Company following extensive trials and input from the UK Royal Navy.

Fendercare Marine has supplied Yokohama onboard fenders to many navies around the world, including those of Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Jordan, Malaysia, Norway, Oman, South Africa, the United Kingdom andthe USA.In the past 10 years we have supplied the UK Royal Navy with over 2000 fenders, representing approximately 180 complete ship sets.

Vessels carry the naval lightweight grey fenders with them at all times, for use at home, at sea and in foreign ports as utility fenders. These specially designed fenders are used primarily for two applications; ship-to-quay and Ship-to-Ship. For ship-to-quay applications the fenders are used to berth a vessel alongside a quay or wharf. For Ship-to-Ship applications the fenders are used to berth or moor two vessels side-by-side (double-banking) in port or at sea.
