Alcatraz Chemicals was established at Vadodara , India in 1985 to manufacture Specialty Chemicals with a focus on indigenization of Electroplating Intermediates which were being imported at that time.This year we are celebrating 30 years of our service to the Metal Finishing, Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Industries. We are an ISO 9001:2008 & 14001 : 2004 certified company and are following it's stringent quality management system with great emphasis on environment protection by ensuring that we have high yield in our process reactions with minimal waste generation and maximum recycling of resources . After 3 decades of successful development of Specialty Chemicals and Electroplating Intermediates , we are now sufficiently experienced to go to the next level of manufacturing high technology Pharmaceutical Intermediates . Some of the chemicals initially developed for electroplating have already enabled us to supply modified versions of these intermediates to Pharmaceutical industries , where they have passed the quality standard and requirement of internationally renowned Pharmaceutical companies. Our core strength in manufacturing is the field of Sulfonations and production of Mono , Di and Tri Sulfonic Acids . We have the largest capacity for manufacturing Methane Disulfonic Acid and it’s Salts . Furthermore , we are the only Indian company offering the full range of Methane , Ethane , Benzene and Toluene Sulfinic Acids of high purity and are approved vendors of these Specialty Chemicals to Multinational Pharmaceutical companies . We are now developing Chiral Intermediates and have fully developed many Enantiomers which are expected to be launched in the coming year . Apart from our commitment towards the shared vision, another strength of Alcatraz Chemicals is it's R&D department consisting of 3 PhD's in organic chemistry, heading a team of 9 experienced lab chemists, working in a laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art equipments for Synthesis & Quality Control . We keep an eagle eye on the latest developments, not just matching them process for process, but experimenting and innovating , adding new vistas to our range to satisfy our customers who matter the most to us.
