Ultrasonic Inspection & Eddie Current Testing ensures that the bars are free from any internal defects. The bars are then finished using the specially designed finishing machines which ensures that the size tolerances (including the out of roundness) and surface roughness are achieved as desired.

Ambica Steels specializes into the production of 17-4 steels (also known as 1.4542 Bar and AISI 630). This is a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel with Cu and Nb/Cb additions. The grade combines a very high strength, hardness (up to 572F / 300C), and corrosion resistance.
Mechanical properties can be optimized with various heat treatments. Very high yield strength up to 1100-1300 MPa (160-190 ksi) can be achieved. Ambica Steels offers various heat treatments in this grade like Solution Annealed, H900, H925, H1025, H1075, H1150, H1150D, H1150M, P800, P930, P960, P1070 etc with both Air & Oil quenching,

There are a multitude of cast and wrought stainless steel alloys that can have various desirable characteristics enhanced by either solution treating or by solution treating and precipitation age hardening. Characteristics such as room temperature and/or elevated temperature mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are typically enhanced by such heat treatments.
The properties of precipitation hardenable stainless steels can be enhanced by selection of appropriate heat treating parameters. The use of solution treating alone or solution treating followed by precipitation age hardening is commonly used with precipitation hardenable stainless steels.
