Ferro Alloys is one of the intermediate products used as additives and de-oxidising de-sulfurizing agents in steel making. The requirement of Ferro Alloys in steel making depends on the process of steel making and the nature of steel to be made. The growth of the Ferro Alloy industry is directly linked to the growth of the steel industry.

Only about 35% to 40% of the requirement of raw material for phosphatic fertilizer production is being met through indigenous sources and the rest is met through import in the form of rock phosphate, phosphoric acid & direct fertilizers. With reserves of around 305 million MT, India is yet to find its true potential in this sector.
