Curcumin is a yellow pigment. It is related to the curry spice, Turmeric, and to a lesser extent ginger also. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. Organic Curcumin is a unique product with a different class of polyphenol.
It has anti-inflammatory effects and these anti-inflammatory effects seem to be quite protective against certain form of cancer progression.
Curcumin boosts levels of the brain hormone BDNF, which increases the growth of new neurons and fights various degenerative processes in the brain.
Curcumin has powerful antioxidant effects. It neutralizes free radicals on its own and then stimulates the bodys own antioxidant enzymes.
Unfortunately, curcumin is poorly absorbed into the bloodstream. Curcumin is also fat soluble, so it may be a good idea to take it with a fatty meal.
Organic Arrowroot powder or Organic Arrowroot starch is a starch obtained from the rhizomes (rootstock) of several tropical plants. Arrowroot powder is thickening power of wheat flour and is gluten free. Unlike corn starch, arrowroot starch creates a perfectly clear gel and does not break down when combined with acidic ingredients.
