Asfocoat-kn(for room temperature zinc phosphating of iron & steel) introduction: asfocoat-kn is a zinc phosphating chemical composition based on the latest developments and is formulated to operate at room temperature at lower concentrations and shorter immersion times comparable to that of hot zinc phosphating. Asfocoat-kn produces a uniform fine grain compact zinc phosphate conversion coating which makes it ideal for pre-paint treatment of mild steel surfaces. It protects the metal surface from under-paint corrosion and gives superior bonding of paints or powder coats to the metal substrate thus enhancing the durability and life of paints and powder coats. Descaling solution for solar water heaters the use of solar water heating systems has gained wide acceptance all over india. due to the water hardness and temperature difference water scales get deposited in the copper tubes thus reducing the water flow and temperatures.Scalgun saf liquid manufactured by ashok industry is a very safe chemical which is widely used for descalingcleaning of the copper tubes of solar water systems. it is very simple to use and cleans the copper tubes completely thereby restoring normal water flow and temperatures.Scalgun saf liquid is supplied in concentrated liquid form which is diluted with water 10-20 times for actual use. it is supplied in standard packing of 6 kgs & 40 kgs polythene carboys.

Chemiklin-5(for derusting, descaling & mild degreasing at room temperature) chemiklin-5 is an aqueous inhibited acidic mixture, soluble in varying proportions with water. it is a very effective for derusting and descaling of iron & steel surfaces at room temperature. it has very good penetrating power to disintegrate and dissolve rust, heat treatment scales, light machine oils, greases, lubricants etc. By dipping process. applications: although chemiklin-5 is an excellent remover of rust, scale, oil and light grease, usually heavy soil contamination should be removed first soaking in kerosene or swabbing with a cloth soaked in kerosene. Similarly surfaces having extremely heavy rust formation should be removed mechanically or by means of wire brush during dipping method. i. dipping method: the following parameters should be followed depending on soil contamination, cycle time, etc. actual parameters should be set after conducting initial trials. Concentrationtemperature time10% - 50% vv r.t. 10 - 45 minutes vv = volume by volume; r.t. = room temperature (25c+) equipment : plastic or frp lined m.s. Tankscontainers should be used. heating of the bath is not required. after derusting the parts in chemiklin-5, water rinsing must be carried out. parts can then be processed further for phosphating or they should be dried immediately and rust preventive such as asfosil dw-95 should be applied by brush or cloth if parts are to be preserved or stored. if further derusting, descaling or acid pickling is to be done after chemiklin-5 then parts may be dipped directly in derusting bath without washing in between. precautions: 1) use rubberpvc gloves while handling with this solution.2) if chemiklin-5 is splashed on skin or eyes wash off with plenty of water. packing: 7 kgs. & 45 kgs.

Performance: asfocoat-mn is of manganese phosphate type and mainly used for producing corrosion resistant phosphate coating as well as lubricating and wear resistant surface under a dip type system. it produces dark grey coatings of the order of .002 mm for light coatings and .005 mm or more for heavy coatings weighing from 800 mgs per sq.ft. Of surface area, to higher than 2, 000 mgs per sq.ft. As per desired specifications to meet class a1 coating under i.s. 3618. Application: piston rings, rocker arms, gears, valves, tappets, cylinder lines, camshafts, nuts & bolts, small arms and defence equipments and other machinery spare parts are frequently phosphated to increase life, by reducing wear and friction.
