We were one of very few companies in Australia to implement CNC (computer numerically controlled) machinery for granite processing. Without these machines, all of the fabrication would have to be done by hand. It's a slow and tedious process, which requires more labour. The cost of hand fabrication is much higher because more people and time are needed to complete the job. So, what most fabricators do to save time is the so called "dry-cutting". In essence, they do not use water to polish the stone.

Reconstituted stone (also known as Engineered, re-composed agglomerated and synthetic stone) is manufactured from a mix of stone aggregate chips (most commonly quartz or marble, but also igneous rocks such as granite and basalt); mineral fillers (generally the ground aggregate); a resin binder (typically an unsaturated polyester); pigments and additives.
