Laminated Safety Glass comprises two or more layers of glass permanently bonded together with an interlayer or resin. If broken, the interlayer is designed to hold the glass together. Virtually all glass types can be laminated and the thickness and type of interlayer can be varied to provide safety ballistic, or physical attack resistance. Normal laminated glass can be cut and further processed.

Our semi-frameless shower screens have a framed perimeter but have a frameless pivot door. The semi-framed shower screens are also constructed from A-Grade, toughened safety glass. The Semi-frameless shower screen is a great midway product between the fully framed and the fully frameless showerscreen.

Toughened Glass Toughened Glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the inner surfaces into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (aka: annealed glass) creates.
