Chalmogra Oil, obtained from Hydnocarpus wightiana, is an extremely useful oil for the treatment of chronic skin disorders. The main active ingredient Hydnocarpic Acid is primarily responsible for its antimicrobial activity. This oil used to be the principle medication for Leprosy at one point of time.
