We are offering indefinite chilled rolls. These are cast iron based rolls alloyed with nickel, chromium and molybdenum having a matrix of pearlite and carbide with flake graphite.these rolls are used primarily for section rolling. The material has superior thermal properties and imparts better surface finish to the product. These rolls are available in higher hardness ranges where the matrix is bainitic instead of pearlite and are used in finishing stands of rod mill.

Chilled iron rams (piston) are chilled casted to get 100% scratch proof surface for longer life of hydraulic seals. The surface of the rams is hard enough to withstand almost every climate and yet smooth on seals for long life. Chilled rams are free from all defects like sand fusion, blow holes, piping & cracks etc. We are manufactured chilled rams are having protected centers & having up to 0.01 micron finish. These rams are capable to bear external specific pressures. The hard and grinding mirror polished surface maintains the high hydraulic oil pressure together with the circumstantial seals. Chilled iron rams ( pistons ) take the pressure of the hydraulic fluid on one side and pass them on to the forming tolls on the other side for these applications, chilled cast iron or chilled spheroidal cast iron have proven their reliability for decades. These hydraulic rams pistons are made one piece, flange fitted or fabricated along with drilling operations. Forging where in the material is hammered according to the customers sizes & requirements is a process in which the ingot is heated in the furnace & then forged. The forging process help in cohesiveness and strength by elongation of the grain structure, which results in material having much higher load bearing capacities as compare to casted material. Heat treatment is done in normalizing annealing furnace and forgings are ultrasonically tested there after. We have the capacity to forge a single piece up to 7000 kg. In plain carbon steel such as m.s., en-8, en-9 & en-42. These forged rolls are basically used for rolling purpose in industries where grinders, channels, angles are manufactured. These rolls are used in roughing stands of rolling mill.

We also manufacture chilled rolls for roller flour mills by centrifugal spin casting technique, using controlled rotational speed & precise double pouring to produce these rolls, this is the most contemporary and sophisticated method to produce high quality duplex rolls, the cementite & paralytic structure ensures that the rolls have consistent hardness over the entire surface (18-20 mm chilled depth) these rolls are available in sand blasted, smooth & fluted surface finish along with grinding and grooving, completed with shrunk fit forged en-8 & en-9 journals and bearing size operations according to milling bodies of overseas & indian flour mill manufactures, however semi-finish rolls are also available for further harmonizing of journals. These rolls are special hypereutectoid steel rolls alloyed with nickel, chromium & molybdenum. The extra carbon and special alloys give extra wear resistance and strength. These rolls are statically cast and undergo a special high temperature heat treatment process of double annealing followed by tempering cycles to give a micro structure consisting of fine pearlite matrix with spheroidized broken carbide.

S.g iron (nodular) or ductile iron rolls are available in a wide range of hardness & composition for a variety of applications. The matrix structure varies from ferro-pearlite, pearlite to bainite and martensite together with different carbide contents and graphite in the form of spheroidsnodules. The rolls are used in roughing, intermediate as well as finishing stands of both heavy & light section mills. Some critical grades are heat treated for higher strength. Chemical composition and structures are chosen to suit specific applications.

D.pi.c. Rolls are made of a high alloy iron shell and soft grey iron or ductile iron core metal.these rolls are used in finishing stands of rod mills and for flat rolling. The shell material consisting of predominantly bainitic or martensitic matrix with free carbides with small quantities of tiny flake graphite, have excellent wear resistance coupled with resistance to fire cracking. These rolls are available in hardness range of 70 to 85 shore c.the core material of these rolls is mostly grey iron but where higher strength is required, the core is made of ductile nodular cast iron.
