Shanghai Qifan Machinery Co., Ltd. is a technology company named after Qifan Bao, the national labor model, engineering expert, the “Grab Master”. Our company was established in 1994, the original name was Shanghai Qifan Industrial Co., Ltd, which belonged to the Institute of Shanghai Port Machinery. It was changed into joint-equity corporation in 1999 and its full name is Shanghai Qifan Co., Ltd, whose hoisting and conveying machinery department focused on development and manufacture of grab, and the department also served for SIPG (Shanghai International Port Group). Department of hoisting and conveying machinery officially turned to independent legal entity in 2011, and its full name is Shanghai Qifan Machinery Co., Ltd, whose existing staff is 173. It has two manufacturing plants with areas of 5,000㎡and 6,000㎡located in Fengxian district and Qingpu district respectively. By means of its strong technical force and inventions by Mr. Qifan Bao and with developing grabs, handling tools and slings as its feature, the company has made various kinds of grabs, handling tools and slings with brand name “Qifan”. The products have formed five series of sixty models and have been awarded National Invention Prize, Ministry and Municipal Science Progress Prize, International Invention Exhibition Gold Medals one after another. The products in general approach the advanced world level, and are in the lead in China. Our products are used by more than 300 customers and 10 different lines like ports, electricity, metallurgy, chemical plant, paper making, vessel, spaceflight, preservation and transportation, environment clearing, dredging, railway, cement. They are exported in batches to Southeast Asia, Japan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Australia. Our company focuses on development of various kinds of high-tech grabs like motor-hydraulic bulk cargo grab, motor-hydraulic orange peel grab, single rope bulk cargo grab with contractile guide-bar, hand-operated bulk cargo grab, single rope remote control bulk cargo grab, and they are main products for export. Single rope remote control bulk cargo grab and motor-hydraulic bulk cargo grab can work for 24 hours successively, which are most suitable for ship using. Remote control grab with simple structure and low failure rate is quite popular in many main ports and receives favorable comments, it is at leading level in domestic and international peer profession, and its quantities for export grow by 50% every year because of its high quality and stable characters. Rope grabs developed for port are now towards to large-scale, ship unloader grabs like 50t, 60t, 70t and 100t are now being used in global main ports, and they receive high praise from ports and power plants with excellent performance. The 200t four ropes refloatation grab developed by our company that absorbed technology essence from aboard with fusion of our own superior technology is deemed to grab king in China, which fills in gap of large-scale grab developed by Chinese independently. Our products adopt 3D virtual design and use ANSYS to strength check and optimize the main parts of the equipment which make weight distribution more reasonable, stress distribution more optimization and the service life longer. Besides grabs, we develop jack-up slings, hoisting and conveying equipments, metal mechanical components and other kinds of mechanical and electrical products.
