these furnaces are used for various heat treatment applications like hardening, annealing, normalizing, tempering etc. the charge is generally loaded in trays and trays are pushed by means of an electro-mechanical or hydraulic pusher. the pusher type billet re-heating furnace for rolling/forging are designed with latest available oil/ dual fired burners and light weight refractory material. these are extremely economical due to their high reproducibility of heat treatment results and their level of automation. depending on their use and the desired throughput single- or multi - track systems are used. in combination with corresponding peripheral units such as tempering and pre-oxidation furnaces, washers, grate transport and storage equipment, process visualization, and documentation, a fully automatic operation is possible with the lowest level of manpower.
