PULLEY LAGGING
INTRODUCTION
Lagging is the term used to describe the application of a coating, cover or wearing surface which is sometimes applied to pulley shells.
Lagging is often applied in order to extend the life of the shell by providing a replaceable wearing surface or to improve the friction between the belt and the pulley. Notably drive pulleys are often rubber lagged for exactly this reason.
This section provides some useful information regarding the different types of lagging as well as some technical details and recommendations for lagging of pulleys.
DIAMOND PULLEY LEGGING
Rubber lagging is applied to pulley shells in order to improve the friction between the pulley and the belt.
Conveyor drive pulleys are often supplied with diamond grooved lagging as indicated in the adjacent sketch.
‘Diamond grooved lagging’ refers to the pattern in the lagging and this pattern, like with vehicle tyres, enhances the grip or friction even if the belt surface is dirty.
RUBBER SHEET
We offers both plain pulley lagging also called rubber sheet lining with specially developed rubber materials and their surfaces have proved to be very effective in water shedding, preventing material build up and controlling belt slippage.

When Considering Vibration Isolation, Usually More Than One Disturbing Frequency Is Present In A Machine. As A General Rule, An Attempt Should Be Made To Isolate The Frequency Producing The Largest Vibration Amplitude, While Avoiding Resonance With The Other Disturbing Frequencies. Our Fabric Reinforced Elastomeric Material, With Its Resilience, Minimal Deflection And High Strength, Often Serves As A More Practical Vibration Isolator Than Softer Materials. The Use Chloroprene Rubber Provide The Superior Environmental Properties Our Part In Isolating Noise Is One Of Reducing Structure-borne Noise. Pad Reduces Mechanical Vibrations Which Can Be Converted To Air-borne Noise. When Isolating Structure-borne Noise, It Is Essential That All Conductive Paths Of Vibration Be Blocked. Therefore, Pads, Washers And Bushings Are Required To Completely Break The Metal-to-metal Contact Between The Isolated Unit And Its Support.
Depending Upon The Size And Thickness, fabric Pad Can Ultimately Withstand Loads Up To 600kg/cm2. Normally, Compressive Stresses Are Designed Not To Exceed 800kg/cm2 To Extend Service Life And Reduce Permanent Set.

Cotton/cotton belts Cotton canvas structure is spun by warp and weft cotton fibers, with lower elongation, good mechanical clamping fastening and good adhesive property to rubber. It is slightly deformed at high temperature, and is suitable for places with shorter distance and less transmission capacity. All belts manufactured are confirming to BIS IS 5996:1984 (R2003)

PTFE (TEFLON ) MESH BELT
PTFE open mesh belting is ideally suited for conveying products within highly efficient air distribution systems allowing optimized moisture removal to take place and is commonly used within ultraviolet and infrared dryer units.Open PTFE Mesh belt is available in brown or with a black U.V. block coating for ultraviolet drying. The fluorocarbon (Teflon) resins provide these belts exceptional strength and dimensional stability. Its non-stick surface, operating temperature range from -100°F to +550°F and the 70% open area makes this belting the perfect solution for many drying applications.
