Sciencetech's Load Boost System is designed for short term loading of high output, flashed solar panels or other pulsed power sources when interfaced with, and controlled by, Keithley 2400 source meters.

This device is designed to be coupled to one of Sciencetech's IV Test systems. The Load Booster is inserted between the Keithley and the device under test with the Keithley current range set to 0.1A and used in remote (4 wire) sensing mode. The BI200 Load Booster allows our IV testing system to measure up to 20A up to the full 200V range of the Keithley. This current-voltage tester works by sampling various current versus voltage combinations of the photovoltaic cell with a variable impedence load. This IV Test system can measure electrical power from photovoltaic cells up to 20W. The voltage envelope is limited to 20V and the current to 1A. A higher power version, up to 60W, is available.
In general, the limitation on this model is the 1A current limit: if your solar cell generates more than 1A, we recommend upgrading to the 60W version.

Photovoltaic Testing System

This system includes either a 150W Xenon or 250W OTH lamp and a monochromator to tune the light source. A source meter used as an active load permits operating the test cell at various load conditions, includ- ing short-circuit, compensating for a series resistor re- quired to sense the current produced by the modulated monochromatic light. This sensed current plus a refer- ence signal at the frequency of the light modulation are both fed into the precision lock-in amplifier to allow measurement of the photocurrent generated by the modulated monochromatic light.

TEO-200 Benchtop FTIR Spectrometer 1cm-1 Resolution Sku: 682-9001

The Model TEO200 benchtop FTIR spectrometer is a low cost Fourier transform infrared spectrometer that employs a number of unique features to achieve high performance from such a compact size. At just 385x265x160mm , it is one of the most compact FTIR systems on the market today.
The TEO200 is unique in terms of its optical geometry and softwarefirmware design. The optical geometry is simplified by employing a new and remarkably compact Michelson self compensating optical system that eliminates many of the optical alignment problems found in conventional linear and pendulum type optical interferometers. For example, the TEO200 design avoids the use of conventional corner cube optics and dynamic alignment. In practical terms, the instrument can be used inside a research laboratory, or even as a mobile unit in outside environments. Its software and firmware design is also tightly coordinated which significantly reduces overall data acquisition and computational time.
The sealed, desiccated enclosure of the TEO200 eliminates the need for continuous dry nitrogen purging during operation. Other notable features include an air cooled IR source as oppose to water cooled, and the interferometer mechanical bearing does not require gas supply. There are however, three dry nitrogen gas inlets on the rear of the spectrometer for the purging of the detector compartment, sample compartment, and interferometer compartment from moisture, carbon dioxide and other gases.
Please note that there are a variety of spectral ranges available, depending on the detector-beam splitter choices for the system. The price of the system includes this beam splitter, but it must be specified.

The SSIVT is an electrical current-voltage measurement system used to characterize photovoltaic cell performance. This current-voltage tester works by sampling various current versus voltage combinations of the photovoltaic cell with a variable impedence load. The performance of the photovoltaic cell is determined by measuring this output I-V relationship while it is being illuminated.
This IV Test system can measure electrical power from photovoltaic cells up to 20W. The voltage envelope has a maximum of 200V, and the current is limited to 1A. We also offer a 60W unit for measurements with continuous light sources, and several for flash systems.

Solar Simulation Testing Equipment

Our solar simulators produce high intensity, uniform illumination on a target area for all type of Solar Cell Testing. Typically, high power solar simulators use an ellipsoidal reflector to capture light from an arc lamp source inside the reflector, an arrangement that results in a light pattern with a bright outer region and a dark center. (500-060D) Deuterium Lamp Power Supply Sku: 150-9028

Sciencetech deuterium power supplies produce the high stability, high output, and long service life required for deuterium lamps for spectrophotometry.
A deuterium lamp uses a tungsten filament and anode placed on opposite sides of a nickel box structure designed to produce an optimal output spectrum. Unlike an incandescent bulb, the filament is not the source of light in deuterium lamps.
Instead an arc is created from the filament to the anode, a similar process to arc lamps. Because the filament must be very hot before it can operate, it is heated for approximately twenty seconds before use.
The discharge process produces its own heat, and so the heater is turned down after discharge begins. Although firing voltages are typically 600 volts, once the arc is created voltages drop to around 60-100 volts.

(201-1K-QTH) Lamp Housing Air Cooled Sku: 100-9008

Sciencetechs 201-1K-QTH lamp housing allows for vertically mounted 500W-1500W DC operated Quartz Tungsten Halogen (QTH) filament lamps. Such lamps produce a large VIS-NIR output and some UV light. The spectral output is smooth and approximates a 3300K black body. Since each wattage lamp has its own socket style, a QTH lamp housing may only accommodate the selected wattage lamp once the socket style is specified. The unit is forced air-cooled with a blower at the top of the housing hat draws air from the bottom intake and expels it out the top of the housing. The lamp socket is mounted vertically on alignment pins such that the lamps filament can be properly centered to the housings back spherical reflector and front light exit port for optimum light output efficiency. The lamp house comes standard with an F1.5 BK7 Lens to collect light from the QTH lamp.

The Model TEO200 benchtop FTIR spectrometer is a low cost Fourier transform infrared spectrometer that employs a number of unique features to achieve high performance from such a compact size. Sciencetech deuterium power supplies produce the high stability, high output, and long service life required for deuterium lamps for spectrophotometry.A deuterium lamp uses a tungsten filament and anode placed on opposite sides of a nickel box structure designed to produce an optimal output spectrum. Unlike an incandescent bulb, the filament is not the source of light in deuterium lamps.Instead an arc is created from the filament to the anode, a similar process to arc lamps. Because the filament must be very hot before it can operate, it is heated for approximately twenty seconds before use.The discharge process produces its own heat, and so the heater is turned down after discharge begins. Although firing voltages are typically 600 volts, once the arc is created voltages drop to around 60-100 volts.

Sciencetechs 201-1K-QTH lamp housing allows for vertically mounted 500W-1500W DC operated Quartz Tungsten Halogen (QTH) filament lamps. Such lamps produce a large VIS-NIR output and some UV light. The spectral output is smooth and approximates a 3300K black body. Since each wattage lamp has its own socket style, a QTH lamp housing may only accommodate the selected wattage lamp once the socket style is specified. The unit is forced air-cooled with a blower at the top of the housing hat draws air from the bottom intake and expels it out the top of the housing. The lamp socket is mounted vertically on alignment pins such that the lamps filament can be properly centered to the housings back spherical reflector and front light exit port for optimum light output efficiency. The lamp house comes standard with an F1.5 BK7 Lens to collect light from the QTH lamp.
