Process Involved :
  • Primary Stage- In this stage, floatable matter like grit, stones and sand is filtered out passing the raw effluent through screening and grit chamber
  • Secondary Stage- Here, BOD/ COD is reduced by subjecting treated effluent to biological treatment
  • Tertiary Stage- In this final stage, sand and carbon filters are employed for the removal of suspended solids and organic material
