Our Journey The seed was planted in 2012 when siblings-in-law Ashima and Nilesh were inspired by India’s timeless village traditions: meals served on leaf plates, cool well water, and life close to nature. A business trip to South India revealed handcrafted palm-leaf bowls, sparking the dream to bring this heritage to the modern table. Soon after, Nilesh’s brother Ashish and his wife Deepti joined the small family enterprise, adding fresh energy and expertise. Together they launched a dedicated manufacturing facility in Tumkur, Karnataka, in 2016, giving Earthens the scale and consistency needed to serve eco-conscious markets worldwide. People & Purpose Our Tumkur unit now employs 48 skilled women from surrounding villages, whose craftsmanship and steady income are central to our mission. By providing sustainable livelihoods, we help rural families thrive while reducing global single-use plastic waste.
