Our Journey The seed was planted in 2012 when Ashima & Nilesh were inspired by India’s timeless village traditions: meals served on leaf plates, cool well water, & life close to nature. A business trip to South India revealed handcrafted palm-leaf bowls, sparking the dream to bring this heritage to the modern table. Soon after, Nilesh’s brother Ashish & his wife Deepti joined the small family enterprise, adding fresh energy & expertise. Together they launched a dedicated manufacturing facility in Tumkur, Karnataka, in 2016, giving Earthens the scale & consistency needed to serve eco-conscious markets worldwide. People & Purpose Our Tumkur (near Bangalore) unit now employs 48 skilled women from surrounding villages, whose craftsmanship and steady income are central to our mission. By providing sustainable livelihoods, we help rural families thrive while reducing global single-use plastic waste.
