Wood Appearance The wood is tan to rose-red, often streaked with purple or brown and becoming brownish-yellow to medium brown on exposure. The sapwood is yellowish, paler than the heartwood but not sharply demarcated. The grain is straight to irregular and the texture fine and uniform. The length of the bole is 18-21m and diameter, 50-80 cm. Physical and Mechanical Properties The wood is soft but strong for its weight in both the green and the air-dried state.
