India’s national family planning program is among the oldest and largest in the world. In spite of this, even today nationally 12.9% of couples in the reproductive age group (married women in the age group 15-49 years) have an unmet need for family planning (National Family Health Survey, 2015-2016). Our service delivery teams provide information and counseling on a range of modern family planning methods, to enable our clients to choose a method that suits them the best. We provide the following family planning methods: Female Sterilization (Tubal Ligation – Laparoscopic and Mini-lap) Male Sterilization (Vasectomy) Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (IUCD) 375 A and 380 A Injectable Contraceptive DMPA Oral Contraceptive Pills Condoms

Globally more than 20 million women, vast majority of them being in poor countries, resort to unsafe abortion each year. An estimated 47, 000 women die in the process and five million need urgent medical attention. A significant number of the estimated 15.6 million abortions in India are estimated to be unsafe, in spite of a liberal Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act which allows abortion up to 20 weeks gestation. Our clinics provide both surgical and medical methods of abortion. Surgical abortions are provided using Manual Vacuum Aspiration and medical abortions using a combination of Mifepristone and Misoprostol. In addition, we provide post abortion contraceptive services too.

A large number of women in India are unable to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights due a number of barriers – social, cultural, policy and access to information and services. We work in partnership with stakeholders to improve the policy environment towards enabling women to exercise their reproductive rights and choices. Our policy and advocacy efforts are aimed towards: Advocating for increased choice of contraceptives in the national family planning program Providing evidence and models to improve public private partnerships Working with public sector to improve quality of services Protecting and advancing access to safe abortion care Advancing women’s access to safe abortion services
