Geogrids

GEOGRID used wisely in India for reinforced soil structures, GEOGRID are Geosynthetic formed by a regular network of integrally connected elements with apertures greater than 14" to allow interlocking with surrounding soil, rock, earth and other surrounding materials to function primarily as reinforcement.

Non Woven Geotextile

In general geotextiles are classified (synthetic or natural) textile material, which may be woven, nonwoven or knitted, This will be used in contact with soilrock or any other geotechnical material in civil engineering applications.

Geocomposites

A geocomposite consists of a combination of geotextile and geogrid; or geogrid and gromembrane; or geotextile, geogrid, and geomembrane; or any one of these three materials with another material (e.g., deformed plastic sheets, steel cables, or steel anchors).

Non - Woven Geotextiles

In general geotextiles are classified (synthetic or natural) textile material, which may be woven, nonwoven or knitted, This will be used in contact with soil/rock /or any other geotechnical material in civil engineering applications.

  • Geotextiles play an important role in Separation/ Filtration/ drainage.

  • High strength Geotextiles and Composites are also used as Reinforcements.

  • High Strength Geotextiles are cost effective than other reinforcements (Geogrids).

  • Geotextile bags, tubes and containers which are made with Geotextile are used in Coastal & River Protection works

Geomembranes

Geomembrane are a kind Geosynthatic material made up of an a impermeable membrane. Their uses include solid waste containment ( such as landfill ), mining and water containment applications.

This will made with various combinations of available raw materials in worldwide such as

  • Bituminous Geomembrane (BGM)

  • Ethylene propylene diener Monomer (EPDM)

  • Low Density polyethylene (LDPE)

  • High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

  • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

  • Polypropylene (PP)

Each type of Geomembrane material has different characteristics which affect installation procedures, lifespan and performance. For example, PVC Geomembrane is very flexible and as a result can conform to uneven surfaces without becoming punctured. EPDM rubber is highly flexible and has excellent UV and weathering characteristics, but is not suitable for use in long term contact with oils and hydrocarbons. LDPE, on the other hand, is very susceptible to UV radiation, and therefore should not be used in applications where it will be exposed or else it will become brittle and fragile. HDPE has excellent chemical resistance, but is inflexible and suffers from environmental stress cracking and thermal stresses.

Function of Geomembrane

Geomembrane are a very low permeability synthetic membrane liner or barrier used with any geotechnical engineering related material. And its control fluid migration in human-made projects, like landfill, dams, water storage and oil storages Systems. The primary function of Geomembrane is always as a barrier against liquids.

Installation

Specialized manpower and machines are used for Installation More information refer technical document page.
