GIL manufactures a wide range of electrodes from 200 mm ( 8 ) diameter to 750 mm ( 30 ) diameter in Ultra High Power ( UHP ), Ultra High Power for LF ( UHP-LF / SHP ), High Power ( HP ) and Regular Power ( RP ) for AC and DC furnaces. It specializes in the manufacture of large diameter electrodes as borne out by the concentration of these sizes in the total array of products. The UHP family of Electrodes are manufactured by using the premium quality Needle Coke, which is crucial to attain superior performance.

The blocks are made of Phenolic impregnated or PTFE impregnated graphite. Graphite India Limited offers compact and top fired units with or without steam generation It consists of burner assembly, combustion chamber, absorber, tail gas tower and interconnecting piping. The unit is provided with accessories like moisture separators, flame arrestors, seal pots, bursting discs and instrumentation to ensure safe and smooth operation The burner is made of graphite and its life expectancy is much more as compared to other. The special design of burner ensures complete combustion of free chlorine content in product acid is less than 2-3 ppm. The design also facilitates online burner cleaning. The cost of replacement of graphite burner cap is quite low compared to other burner. The instrumentation control system is designed to suit specific needs and the operation of the unit can be completely in auto mode including auto firing or the unit can be operated in semi auto mode/manual control The unit can be supplied in skid mounted fashion(i.e. steel structure) and if required as per 2014/68/EU & ATEX directive the unit can also used to produce dry HCI gas

Absorber can either be isothermal falling film type or adiabatic. Both polyblock type and shell and tube type equipment can be used as an absorber Can be designed to handle very dilute gases System offered ensures complete absorption of gas ensuring unabsorbed gases going into vent in ppm level by providing packed bed towers at the exit. Packing used in Tail scrubber is either in ceramic or in graphite. The unit is designed for diluting sulphuric acid and hydrohchloric acid to a desired concentration. The unit is compact having mixer and cooler on a common base frame and it is equipped with accessories like thermo wells, non return valves for smooth and safe operation. The unit can be mounted horizontally or vertically as per customers need The cooler can be polyblock or shell and tube type Application In industries like single super phosphate, gelatin, batteries where dilute acid is required

Ejector systems are offered either single stage or multi stage with motive fluids like steam, water, caustic solution or combination of same. The system can be designed with surface condensers or mixing condensers for an absolute pressure upto 1 torr. This is a compact skid mounted and custom built system without any rotating parts. Bench test facility is available and system can be tested for its performance before despatch Application Bulk drugs, agrochemicals and allied industries

Columns can be tray type or packed type. Trays can be bubble cap, turbo grid or sieve type. Packed columns are available with graphite raschig rings or ceramic/plastic packing. Column internals like support plate, distribution sparger etc are in graphite. Thermowells are provided on column to facilitate temperature measurement.
