These rods are also available with tin plating in order to reduce the risk of oxidation and increasing shelf life.

GCAL also has continuous casting lines and extrusion facility to achieve the best quality products. The company is equipped with number of high speed mills reversible 4-Hi Mino mills with automatic gauge control and 2-Hi Mino mills. The plant is capable of rolling finest copper foils with thickness of 0.1mm to 5mm with a width of 8mm to 225mm with close tolerance as per international standards.

Silver-Bearing Copper is another quality product of GCAL. To meet requirement of customers, the additional small amount of silver in copper improves the resistance to softening of materials. Most applications for this material are commutator bars and segment in traction motor and various industrial DC motors.
