Whenever, the term embassy comes in our mind, a picture of building for ambassador & its staff strikes immediately. But this term is technically related with diplomatic delegation of one country with another while the building where they work is known as chancery. But nowadays, this term is rarely used by anyone. An embassy consists of an Ambassador, a deputy ambassador and some counselors. Apart from this, there are many employees for management & administrative purpose. Generally, counselors recruit them from the respective country.

The role & responsibility of these Ambassadors are very comprehensive but broadly speaking, they only maintain the diplomatic relation of their country with the respective country. Apart from this, another responsibility is to take care of his nationals who are residing in respective country. In addition to these, they are responsible for promoting friendly relations between both the states & to flourish their cultural, economic & scientific relations.

But apart from all these, most of the time it happened when a country recalls its ambassador as a symbol of anger. For example, when a group of militants attacked Indian parliament in 2001, both the countries, India & Pakistan recalled their representative as a sign of displeasure.
