About us Hilo Makhbaz (The Sweet Bakery) was established in 1993 by Ghulam Mohiuddin Sofi with a vision to deliver bakery products defined by hygiene, quality, and uncompromised taste. The name HILO stands for Hygienic Incomparable Loaf Outlet and also derives from Arabic meaning sweet, while Makhbaz means bakery. What began as a small family-run bakery with just three members has grown into one of the most trusted and popular bakery brands in Kashmir. With a strong focus on food safety and scientific baking practices, and backed by professional expertise in Food Technology, we introduced health-focused bakery products such as NutriEats cookies, millet cookies, and nutrition-conscious items. Building on this foundation, we became the first bakery in Jammu & Kashmir to manufacture FSSAI-approved fortified bread and bakery products, delivering essential nutrients without compromising taste.
