The LK1 Star Delta motor starters are available in 2 identical distinct designs, suitable wired & inter-connected with three solenoid operated air break contactors Type LK1 and one triple pole thermal overload relay Type LK1, fopr overload & under voltage protection It is available in Semi Automatic & Fully Automatic version in 16A & 25A contactor ratings. In the Semi-automatic version, the motor starts in STAR on pressing the START button & changes over to DELTA on releasing the start button after the motor has picked up its full speed. In the Fully-Automatic version, the changeover from STAR to DELTA is controlled by an adjustable electronic timer & the user needs to press the Start button only once, where from the timer take over.

Thermal Overload Relay Unit Type LK1 is a three pole Bimetallic unit housed in a Bakelite enclosure. It is individually calibrated & tested on automatic machines to ensure foolproof protection to the motor from overload & resulting burnouts. The relay is ambient temperature compensated for operation between 5degC to 55degC. Available in a wide range of current ranges with easily adjustable current setting knob in the front for easy access, the relay comes with a Manual reset button that also acts as the STOP button.
