The HAZOP study is a procedure to identify hazards in a chemical process facility. HAZOP  study requires a team composed of experienced plant personals from Mechanical, Instrumentation, Production, Electrical and safety  department. Leader should be experienced with HAZOP procedure and the chemical process under review. One person is assigned the task for recording the discussions and result. Zone 2- An area in which an explosive atmosphere is not likely to occur in normal operation but, if it does  occur, will persist for a short period only.
