ISMT is an established market leader in the production of special engineering steels. We produce carbon, alloy and martensitic stainless steel bars with a special emphasis on ultra-clean steels, free machining steels, bearing steels, and on other specially engineered steel grades.

We offer casing pipes. Ismt high collapse casings are seamless tubes designed to withstand high external pressures in deep oil and gas wells. These casings are specially manufactured such that they have improved collapse properties, well in excess of api requirements.

ISMT produces Hollow Bars to the tightest tollerances & the highest quality standards in the industry. This means, as a customer you get more length (meters) and therefore more finished product per tonne of Hollow Bar that you purchase.

We can supply both cold-drawn as well as hot-finished tubes upto 23.5 mm in length. The use of such tubes reduces the number of weld joints, thereby saving costs and increasing productivity.

We manufacture header pipes upto 273 mm OD (10 34 inches). These tubes are produced with special attention to straightness to enable ease of welding. We can supply tubes with straightness levels of 1 in 6000.

ISMT manufactures special smooth bore tubes for piston pins. These tubes are cold drawn with a mirror finish on the ID so as to achieve a Ra value of as low as 0.5. Piston pins made from seamless tubes offer a cost effective alternative to piston pins made either by forging or by machining solid bar stock.

We are approved for the supply of air-bag canister tubes by four of the largest suppliers of air-bags globally. Ismt has developed special fine grain steels as well as tube finishing processes to obtain extremely high burst pressure values at low temperatures.

ISMT Limited is one of the few companies in the world to offer just-in-time delivery of hardened ring sets for the manufacture of bearing races, bearing bushes and sleeves for linear bearings. These rings are manufactured through a process of cold ring rolling (on Bad Deuben machines) and or machining.

ISMT Limited has developed a range of specialized tubes for the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders. The steel used for the manufacture of these tubes is produced inhouse.

We offer hydraulic cylinders. These are precision tubes produced through a process of cold-pilgering wherein the tubes are heavily cold worked between moving dies (up to 70% cross sectional reduction) resulting in a very even surface finish and extremely tight dimensional tolerances.

We offer hydraulic cylinders type ii. These tubes are cold-drawn and are suitable for the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders through a skiving and burnishing operation. Tubes supplied in this category have extra material provided for chip removal in the skiving and burnishing operation.

We offer hydraulic cylinders type iii. These are hot finished tubes suitable for the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders where the inside surface will first be turned and then honed to obtain the finish and dimensions. Typically these tubes are used for the manufacture of large cylinders with heavier wall thickness.
