JASH Large Size Cast Iron Box Table (Individual / Stacked) serves as a versatile tool for layout machine set ups, tooling and inspection of large jobs. They can also be used as right angles and squares.

V Blocks

JASH V-Blocks are widely used in Workshops , Tool Rooms & Standard Rooms for variety of application in Tooling and Inspection purposes such as marking accurate Centers, checking concentricity, parallelism etc. The V-Blocks are typically used to hold round metal rods or pipes for performing drilling or milling operations. Screw clamps are also available and are provided upon request. Thus, the V-Blocks can be used for workholding as well as for inspection.

Apart from the standard V-Block configuration, we also offer custom V-Blocks and Magnetic V-blocks. The magnetic blocks have internal magnets and are useful for securely holding work pieces for inspection and light cutting operations. They can also be used for marking of round objects and measuring to different shapes. Straight Edges (Parallel / Bow Shaped)

Jash Cast Iron Straight Edges are widely used for setting up and leveling machinery and for checking and spotting bearing surfaces during hand-scraping operations. Properly supported, they may be used with various indicating devices to check surface flatness of large machined areas like Surface Table. Machine Tables and Beds, Machine ways etc.

Salient Features
  • Offered in two types viz Bow shaped or Camel Back Type and I-Section or Parallel Type, in standard sizes generally as per IS: 5268.
  • Bow shaped Straight Edges are provided with pads on their bow for supporting Engineer's level.
  • Made from close grained plain cast iron conforming to Grade FG; 220 of IS: 210 1978.
  • Casting stress relieved to remove internal stresses.
  • Offered in three Grades of accuracies viz Grades 0, 1 and 2, standard sizes, dimensions, flatness and parallelism tolerances are as stated in table.
  • Straightness accuracy checked by Electronic level, computer print out of the contour of working surfaces is furnished.
  • Offered in hand scraped surface finish for Grades 0 and 1, Smooth machined / ground / scraped surface finish for Grade 2.

  • Two numbers Grade 1 parallel straight edges of the same length can be offered as matched pair, at extra cost, ensuring equality of overall depth within the tolerance on parallelism for the respective length of straight edge.
  • Actual dimensions of straight edges may be even more than those stated in the table below.
  • No two straight edges of the same length will have any of the dimensions exactly the same, except in case of two numbers parallel straight edge made specially as a matched pair wherein only the overall depth shall be equal within the tolerance on parallelism for the respective length.

JASH Cast Iron Box Angle Plate serves as a versatile tool for layout machine set ups, tooling and inspection. They can also be used as right angles and squares. A job can be fixed with one of its faces and rotated in five positions without the need for repositioning or disturbing accuracy. They can easily be made into special fixtures by providing tenons, pins or stops. Matched pairs can be used as Parallels and Height Blocks.

  • Made generally as per IS: 2554, Standard Angle Plates are webbed and provided with cored slots on both working faces to facilitate clamping.
  • Made from close grained plain cast iron conforming to grade FG 220 of IS:210 (equivalent to GG20/FT20/30-A). Higher grades also offered on request.
  • Casting stress relieved to relieve internal stresses. Smaller sizes offered with Grades 1 & 2 accuracies and larger sizes offered in Grade 2 accuracies.

Swivel Angle Plate

Work can be quickly and correctly set at any angle with these adjustable swivel angle plates. They are graduated for setting 0 90 and can be easily adjusted manually and locked in adjusted position by means of two locking nuts. For setting purposes, a degree scale, reading minimum one degree, is graduated on the boss itself. This ensures better setting accuracy.The swivelling face in the swivel angle plates is provided with T-slots machined from solid. Other face is provided with as cast cored slots for clamping the angle plate on machine table.

Tooling Block

Tooling Blocks (pallet mounting) play an important role in ensuring the maintenance of precision during work. The blocks simultaneously provide more than one face for holding components accurately in a vertical plane. This makes it easy to machine on horizontal machining centers and prevents any movement while working. The specific construction of our tooling blocks reduces downtime by eliminating multiple setups. Every time a table is indexed, a new face with new components is obtained. This is what reduces the downtime.

Tooling Blocks (Plain Type)

Tooling Blocks simultaneously provide multiple faces to hold components accurately in vertical plane for machining on Horizontal machining centres. Upon indexing of table a new face with new components is obtained for machining resulting into significant reduction of downtime by elimination of multiple set ups. Pallet mounting tooling blocks also enable simultaneous loading and unloading of multiple fixture plates thereby reducing total set up time. Tooling Blocks can also be used for vertical clamping of components on Horizontal Boring Machines, Milling Machines, Horizontal Jig Mills etc.

Salient Features
  • Made from stress relievd plain close grained gray cast iron conforming to Grade FG: 220 of IS: 210 (equivalent to GG25/F T25/ 35-A). Higher grades also offered on request.
  • Machined / Hand scraped surface finish.
  • M16 tapped holes / helicoil inserts, vertical tenon slots/edge locator tapped holes / coolent drain holes, can be offered upon request.
