“Triphala is considered a 'tridoshic rasayan', having balancing and rejuvenating effects on the three constitutional elements that govern human life. By stimulating digestion (Agni-deepan), it acts as appetizer and carminative. It reduces Vata and Kapha Dosha in the alimentary canal. Due to presence of Salts, Sour tasted herbs like Amlavetas, dadim; it prevents the gas formation, reduces abdominal pain (antispasmodic) and eases in defecation. Marich, Tejpatra, Pippali, Pippali mool relieves cough (antitussive). Along with this, Lavan Bhaskar churna is Aampachak (Detoxier) and an antioxidant.

Avipattikar Churna prevents back ow of the stomach content impelling it to intestines thus helps in Gastroesophageal reux disease (GERD). Similarly it can be used in Piles as well as chronic and acute constipation.
