Inconel alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that is a standard material for applications which require resistance to corrosion and heat. Inconel alloy 600 also has excellent mechanical properties and presents the desirable combination of high strength and good workability. The high nickel content gives Inconel alloy 600 resistance to corrosion by many organic and inorganic compounds and also makes it virtually immune to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking. Chromium confers resistance to sulfur compounds and also provides resistance to oxidizing conditions at high temperatures or in corrosive solutions. Inconel alloy 600 is not precipitation hardenable; it is hardened and strengthened only by cold work.
Inconel alloy 600 is used extensively in the chemical industry for its strength and corrosion resistance. Applications include heaters, stills, bubble towers and condensers for processing of fatty acids; evaporator tubes, tube sheets and flaking trays for the manufacture of sodium sulfide; and equipment for handling abietic acid in the manufacture of paper pulp.

Km Steel India Corporations substantial experience in working with high nickel alloys bolting is crucial as they are extremely difficult materials to machine and can require various forms of additional treatment to ensure full conformity. Related by their high percentage of nickel in their composition, these highly corrosion-resistant materials are widely used in the petrochemical and offshore sector, and are often better known by their registered trade names (e.g. Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel and Nimonic).
Inconel boltingWe produce inconel fasteners in several grades. Inconels are austenitic nickel-chromium superalloys. They are used in extreme environments, often in gas turbines, nuclear reactors and natural gas processing plants.
Hastelloy boltingHastelloy bolts & nuts can be most effective under high temperatures and corrosive environments, with high stress resistance.
Monel boltingKm Steel India Corporation manufactures Monel fasteners in A400 and K500. Monel grades are nickel-copper based alloys and have high corrosion resistance and strength properties. They are often used in valves, pumps and heat exchangers.
Incoloy boltingKm Steel India Corporation produces various grades of Incoloy bolts & nuts. Another of the superalloys, it is used in extreme environments.
Nitronic BoltingNitronic grade fasteners have excellent corrosion resistance properties and strength. It has low magnetic permeability and excellent cryogenic properties.

Duplex 2205 is a nitrogen enhanced duplex stainless steel that was developed to combat common corrosion problems encountered with the 300 series stainless steels. Duplex describes a family of stainless steels that are neither fully austenitic, like 304 stainless, nor purely ferritic, like 430 stainless. The structure of 2205 duplex stainless steel consists of austenite pools surrounded by a continuous ferrite phase. In the annealed condition, 2205 contains approximately 40-50% ferrite. Often referred to as the work horse grade, 2205 is the most widely used grade in the duplex family of stainless steels.
The advantage of a duplex structure is that it combines the favorable qualities of a ferritic alloy (stress corrosion cracking resistance and high strength) with those of an austenitic alloy (ease of fabrication and corrosion resistance).
Usage of 2205 Duplex stainless steel should be limited to temperatures below 600 F. Extended elevated temperature exposure can embrittle 2205 stainless.
Corrosion Resistance
2205 duplex stainless steel is a cost effective solution for many applications where the 300 series stainless steels are susceptible to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Stress corrosion cracking occurs when stainless steels are subjected to tensile stress, while in contact with solutions containing chlorides. Increasing temperatures also increase the susceptibility of stainless steels to stress corrosion cracking.

Benefits of UNS32750 Super Duplex Stainless Steel
Crevice CorrosionThe presence of crevices, almost unavoidable in practical constructions and operations, makes stainless steels more susceptable to corrosion in chloride enviroments. 2507 is highly resistant to crevice corrosion. The critical crevice corrosion temperatures of 2507 and several other high-performance stainless steels are shown above.
Mechanical Properties
Mechanical and Physical Properties
2507 combines high tensile and impact strength with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity. These properties are suitable for many structural and mechanical components. The low, ambient, and elevated temperature mechanical properties of 2507 sheet and plate are shown below. All of the test data shown are for samples in the annealed and quenched condition.
2507 is not recommended for applications which require long exposures to temperatures in excess of 5700F because of the increased risk of a reduction in toughness. The data listed here are typical for wrought products and should not be regarded as a maximum or minimum value unless specifically stated.
