Heat strengthened glass is similar to tempered glass except that the cooling is done at a much slower pace. Annealed glass is heated to approximately 650-700 C, but the cooling process is slower than that for tempered glass. Heat strengthened glass is about twice as strong as annealed glass of the same size and thickness. Heat strengthened glass is a semi tempered glass which retains the normal properties of ordinary float glass. Heat Strengthened glass has been strengthened thermally by inducing a surface compression of 6000 to 9000 psi as compared to a range of 11000 to 20000 psi in case of fully tempered glass. Heat strengthening adds strength to the glass while limiting the change in its breakage characteristics. The cooling process places the surfaces of the glass in a state of high compression and the central core in a state of compensating tension.

Insulated Glass, often called double glazing, is a combination of two or more panes of glass spaced apart with a spacer bar and hermetically sealed with a primary and secondary sealant to form a single unit with one or more air spaces in between. IG units improve the thermal performance, thus significantly reducing heating and air-conditioning costs.

Laminated glass is a type of safety glass that holds together when shattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by an interlayer, typically of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), between its two or more layers of glass. The interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, and its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces.

Toughened or tempered glass is produced when float glass panels are heated and then cooled rapidly in a controlled environment. This process makes the glass several times stronger than regular glass. It also makes it safer because when broken it yields small pebble-like fragments.

This is simply fully tempered glass that has been processed to reduce the probability of spontaneous breakage due to nickel sulfide inclusions. Heat soaked glass has shown 98.5% reliability in tests1. The glasses have the same advantages as fully toughened glass, but are relatively safer as the pos sibility of breakage is reduced.

The blind can be tilted andor raised and is operated from the outside by magnetized handles or by a remote controlled electric motor. Frames are available in either aluminum or UPVC and in different colors and finishes. The internal Venetian blinds can be made in large number of colors with matching ladders and cords.

Tinted glass products are produced by small additions of metal oxides to the float or rolled glass composition. These small additions color the glass bronze, green, blue or grey but do not affect the basic properties of the glass except for changes in the solar energy transmittance.

Bent tempered is tempered or heat-strengthened glass that is bent, during the heat-treating process, to a specified radius to create unique profiles for installations in commercial and residential applications. Bend tempered glass is custom-tempered by heat treating glass through a horizontal tempering furnace.
