The company was started under proprietorship on 5th Auguest 2005.
Kanha Seeds Company is a forerunner in the area of seed business in India and is engaged in research, development, production and marketing of high quality hybrid / varieties. KSC offers a wide product range of hybrids and varieties in rice, pearl millet, wheat, maize, castor, mustard, vegetable crops etc. The Kanha Seeds Company (KSC) products enjoy immense brands equity with more than One lakh farming families and its seeds are sown in more than One lakh hectares across the country-Company’s visionary contribution towards enhancing national prosperity.
The company has three state-of-the-art seed processing plants with the capacity to process and package more than 20 metric tones of high quality seed per day. The company has also cutting-edge R&D competencies to meet the requirement of the farmers.
“SEED”, acts as a catalyst and a starting point for realizing potential of all other inputs in agriculture and thus it is the most important and critical input. The production and supply of the seed of high yielding varieties and hybrids have been largely responsible for augmenting production of not only field crops but also vegetables and fruit crops as well. Having realized this, KSC has embarked on serving the farming community by providing the quality seeds of hybrids and verities in important agri-horticultural crops.
Keeping the above objectives, the KSC has established a strong R&D activity especially in seed related research for the development of superior crop varieties and hybrids. The experimental research farms and facilities are located at Gujarat. The R&D team consists of highly qualified, experienced personnel to look after the R&D needs of the crops. With a view to make Indian agriculture locally, regionally and globally competitive, the R&D vision of the company is to reduce the poverty and bring economic transformation in millions of farming families by providing technologies especially the quality seeds for increasing the production and productivity of the crops and thus ensuring the food and nutritional security.
