The idea of KeralDhara was born from a traditional ayurvedic Instrument making carpenter family based in Malappuram district, Kerala, India Nilambur, 60 km away from Calicut City, has considered the home to the oldest teak plantations in the world and is geographically located near to Nilgiris range of Western Ghats. This signifies medicated properties of flora seen in the area and is a famous spot for collecting medicinal herbs. Nilambur teak is famous for its superior quality, elegance, and aesthetic appearance since the British Era. At present Nilambur Teak has become the first forest produced to get a GI tag. KeralDhara uses medicated woods exclusively collected from the location. These include Venga tree wood (Pterocarpusmarsupium), Vaaka Tree wood (Delonixregia), and Maruth Tree Wood (Terminaliapaniculata) exclusively gathered for the manufacturing of Ayurveda Panchakarma equipment, which ensures durability and long life.
