The model EDT101 derailment detectors are suitable for use in trains using indirect air brakes. If a wheelset happens to derail, the detectors induce an emergency application by venting the brake pipe. Once the brake pipe is entirely vented, the detectors return automatically to their starting position then independently returns to its operating state and a red cylinder on the indicator device shows which unit has reacted until the indicator is reset by hand. Since the detectors act pneumatically they can be installed in trains with either electrically or pneumatically controlled brakes.

Hydraulic Damper

The HYDROLASTIC damper reduces rotary oscillation in accordance with the hydrodynamic extrusion principle. Rotary oscillation causes a relative motion in the damper between the primary mass (hub) and secondary mass (housing). As a consequence of this relative motion, mineral oil is pressed through a narrow slot. The resulting drop in pressure equates to a hydraulic drop in power, which has a damping effect.

Electronic Gear Control Unit For Automated Manual Transmission (AMT)

An electronic gear control unit allows a fully automatic gear change to be made with a manual gearbox; the unit is usually directly mounted on top of the gearbox. The electronic gear control unit is a combination of mechanical components (e.g. pneumatic cylinders) as well as electrical components (e.g. solenoid valves, cables, electronic control units).
Due to the integration of several functions, todays automated manual transmission (AMT) modules reach an enormous degree of complexity. Air Treatment

The product range, which extends from pressure regulators up to air dryers and multi circuit protection valves, contributes to the functional safety of pneumatic systems. Additionally, we offer the Air Processing Unit (APU), which combines all the functions of an air dryer and a multi circuit protection valve in one device. APUs are available as a flanged solution or as an extremely compact monobloc version for reduced installation space.
The compressed air produced by the compressor must be dried and cleaned before being distributed to up to seven different brake and subsidiary circuits.
