PANEL ACs

LEX TECHNOAID PANEL ACsare used to cool and maintain a particular temperature inside CNC / electrical / electronic control cabinets. Once the panel is fully closed with sealed doors, the dust particles are prevented from entering the CNC cabinet. The cooling technique used removes the moisture trapped inside panel which gets condensed & the water comes out through an outlet provided on our AIR CONDITIONING unit.

WE MANUFACTURE:

  • SIDE MOUNTED PANELACs that are mounted on any of the sides of the electronic cabinet / panel / console & the air flows are connected through two nos. of cut out openings on the panel and the matching ones on our AC.

  • TOP MOUNTED PANEL ACswherein the panel ACs can be directly mounted on top of theelectronic cabinet / panel / console & the air flows are connected through two nos. of cut out openings on the panel and the matching ones on our AC.

  • STAND ALONE PANEL ACsare rested on the floor. There are two ports / openings on the AC & on the Panel, one for getting the warm air from the CNC / electronic cabinet / panel / console into the AC & the other for sending cooled air back to the CNC Console.

Paper Band Filtration System

  • CAPACITY 5 to 40 microns
Here a non woven ( paper ) fabric band is used as the filter media for the separation of the chips from the coolant oil that is made to fall over it. The filter paper is stored as a roll on the unit and is pulled out by an endless chain belt on top of which the paper rests, after use of the front portion. This filter is extensively used on grinding honing machines for filtering cast iron aluminium fine steel particles from coolant, where coolant filtration is critical. Filtration levels of 5 to 40 microns are possible. There is no cleaning of filter needed except change of filter paper roll after a long roll of paper ends. When the paper roll ends, an optional paper end signal can be provided to fix a new roll.

Chip Conveyors

CHIP CONVEYORSseparate the chips from the coolant / oil and transfer the separated chips to a chip bin.

WE MANUFACTURE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHIP CONVEYORS NAMELY:

  • Scraper type chip conveyors:Here scrapers are used to scrape the chips from the bottom of the conveyor, push them to the top of it & make them fall into a chip bin, thus separating them from the dirty coolant. These are used to separate steel or cast iron chips with more of flakes & less of tough coils.

  • Scraper type chip conveyors with Rotary drum:This conveyor is generally used to filter Small Steel or Aluminium or Cast Iron chips / particles from the coolant / oil. The floating chips are made to settle down inside the conveyor by making the coolant pass through a rotary drum ( OD to ID ) wound with filter mesh, wherein the chips get arrested and only the clean coolant comes out. As the coolant level goes down, the chips settle down & the scrapersscrape the chips to the top & make them fall into the chip trolley. Here the chips are not only separated, but even the coolant is also filtered.

  • Slat chip conveyors:This design of chip conveyor is used to separate coiled chips from coolant / Oil. The coiled chips are carried away by the slat belt that moves up & makes the chips fall into the chip bin.

  • Magnetic chip conveyors:This conveyor finds its applicationin separating small ferrous chips from coolant / Oil . There is apolished SS top surface on which the coolant with chips falls. Below this surface a magnetic belt moves. As the magnetic belt moves up, thechips also move up& fall into the chip bin.

MAGNETIC CANDLES

Magnetic candleis directly dipped and left into the coolant tank from the top cover plate through a cutout. The magnetic candle absorbs the magnetic particle chips which are present in the coolant. The chips are subsequently removed by taking the candle out of the coolant tank and by wiping the chips off.

CHILLERS

CHILLERSare generally used to cool & maintain the temperature of coolant / oil / water or other media. Temperatures can be set either with respect to ambient or at a fixed value. These chillers work using the principle of refrigeration. Good quality components are used to ensure reliability & long life of Chillers.

APPLICATIONS:
  • WATER CHILLERS :These are used : 1) to cool x-ray / laser heads, heating coils of induction hardening machine etc.2) on sub zero applications like testing performance of components at below zero degree centigrade etc.
  • OIL / COOLANT CHILLERS :These are used to cool Hydraulic oil, coolant oil or emulsion coolant. Maintaining a constant hydraulic oil temperature at allowable limits helps to stabilise the performance of hydraulic powerpacks. Controlled coolant temperature increases the tool & coolant life, gives better & consistent accuracy of machining or grinding operations and thus improves process & machine capability values.

WE MANUFACTURE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHILLING UNITS SUCH AS:
  • A1- STAND-ALONE TYPE CHILLER :These Chillers have their own pump and a Stainless Steel ( SS ) or Mild Steel ( MS ) tank where the hot / warm medium is cooled and pumped back to the machine / equipment for continuous circulation.

  • A2- DIP IN TYPE CHILLERS :Here the evaporator / cooling coil of the chiller is directly dipped into the tank containing the medium to be cooled & the top of the chiller rests above the tank. The heat from the medium is removed by the dipped coils.

  • A3- CHILLERS WITH HEAT EXCHANGER :These Chillers have their own heat exchanger, either Plate Type / Compact Brazed type or Shell & Tube type in SS or MS having evaporator / cooling coils, which reduces the temperature of the medium. This unit can also be given with a pump for continuous circulation to the machine / equipment.
  • B1- CHILLERS WITH DIFFERENTIAL TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER:These chillers control the medium temperature within + or - 10 deg C with respect to ambient temperature.

  • B2- CHILLERS WITH FIXED POINT TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER:These chillers control the medium temperature with respect to a pre set value of temperature.
  • B3- CHILLERS WITH HEATING & COOLING :These chillers control the medium temperature very quickly at a constant value within a close tolerance band of temperature. Any combination of the above types, A & B, can be made to meet very specific requirements.

Magnetic Drum Separators

Here a rotating magnetic drum attracts the ferrous chips / dirt from the dirty coolant that falls into it. A scraper is provided ( adjustable scraping angle for chips for less coolant wastage -special feature to be asked ) at a certain angle for the removal of the chips from the drum so that the chips fall on a chip tray. There are no consumables or change parts.

LEX TECHNOAID MAGNETIC DRUM SEPARATORSare made using either RARE EARTH or FERRITE MAGNETS.

RARE EARTH MAGNETS ARE VERY POWERFUL& the magnetic drum here is a PLAIN CYLINDER. These are suitable for small chips & the chips that fall in the collection bin are almost free from coolant. Hence coolant wastage is reduced. Rare earth magnetic separators are relatively smaller in size.

FERRITE MAGNETIC DRUM SEPARATORSare made with both GROOVED MAGNETIC DRUM & PLAIN MAGNETIC DRUM. GROOVED MAGNETIC DRUM gives higher magnetic surface area to attract coarser chips/particles. PLAIN MAGNETIC DRUM separators with FERRITE MAGNETS are also used for smaller chips

Coolant Systems

COOLANT SYSTEMS are generally used to

  • Pumpthe filtered coolant to the cutting point on any machine tool & collect the used coolant for recirculation.

  • Filterthe dirty coolant coming back from the machine so that the coolant is free from chips and other waste particles. Filtering of coolant reduces aberrations & enhances the life of cutting tool & coolant to improve quality of machining.
  • Chill / coolthe coolant to regulate its temperature. OIL / COOLANT CHILLERS are used to cool coolant oil or emulsion coolant. Controlled coolant temperature increases the tool & coolant life, gives better & consistent accuracy of machining or grinding operations and thus improves PROCESS & MACHINE CAPABILITY values.
