Ceramic Cloth is a woven made from high quality alumina silica fiber and especially mechanically needled for increased tensile strength and surface integrity in form of ceramic fiber yarn. It can be used for high temperature applications up to 2300 F. The cloth is reinforced with fiberglass filament, and optional Inconel/alloy steel wire. Ceramic fiber textiles feature excellent properties of lightweight, low thermal conductivity and chemical stability resisting attack from most corrosive agents. This cloth is widely used in welding, foundry works, aluminum and steel mills, boiler insulation and seal, shipyards, refineries, power plants and chemical plants.
This comes in the form of sheets in which thickness varies from 10mm to 32 mm. This also comes in pipe section in various thickness from 10mm to 32mm

It is completely inorganic and hence no fumes during initial heating or later heat-ups. In case of wetting by steam, water or other liquids, it retains its thermal and physical properties after drying. It is recommended for dry wrapping of structural steel and variety of other passive fire protectionapplications. It is available in various chemical compositions, density and thickness combinations.
